SpaceLogger is a small, low cost, high capacity data logger that stores data on a CompactFlash card. It has four 10 bit analogue inputs, four digital inputs and a RS232 / RS485 port which allows a large variety of sensors to be connected. A real time clock can time-stamp readings and/or control time activated measurements.
The CompactFlash card can be removed from the logger and inserted into a reader connected to the USB port on a PC and the stored data files accessed in the same way as files on the computer's other disk drives.
Software upgrades and the loading of different application programmes are made by copying the relevant files from a PC to the CompactFlash card. These are automatically transferred to the logger's microcontroller on-chip flash memory when the card is re-inserted into the logger and power applied. SpaceLogger uses one of the popular Microchip PIC18 series microcontrollers and support is provided for customers wishing to develop their own application programmes.
The SpaceLogger enclosure has room for an additional circuit board or batteries.
The 'Launch Kit' contains all that is need to get started with SpaceLogger. It includes the SpaceLogger, 32MB compact flash card with software and user manual, USB flash card reader and power supply.
OEM customers requiring customised versions of SpaceLogger should contact our UK sales office.
